for profit oraganisation, LEAD INDIA helps the government
departments in improving their performance in a number of ways. We
conduct research studies to get an insight into the needs and
aspirations of their customers. Based on the findings, we help the
departments in devising appropriate strategies and interventions to
fulfil the needs of their customers. We advise them on designing
efficient organisation structures and systems to implement these
strategies. All these components are compiled in the form of a
Project Implementation Plan (PIP) which will be then presented
before the funding agencies like World Bank, USAID, etc.
After a Project is approved and the department starts implementing
it, we offer our services for regular monitoring of the progress of
its implementation. Sometimes, we are also involved in training the
project functionaries to ensure its proper implementation. For some
projects, we are also required to conduct mid-term and end-term
evaluation studies to measure their net impact.
LEAD INDIA was founded in 1991 as Action for International
Innovations, with an idea to study the application of modern NGO
related management and research tools & techniques in the
functioning and relationship maintaining of Funding and government
organisations aimed at its all-round enhancement. It was promoted by
an Eminent Educationalist and Advocate of Gujarat High Court,
Ahmedabad whose vision was to establish a research & consulting
enterprise, which runs purely on the merits and utility of its work
and to assist the organisations who work to uplift the marginalised
sections of the society. LEAD INDIA was set up with no grant-in-aid
or funding from any government body or international agency.
As a well thought-out service strategy, the promoters decided to
specialize in working with Government organisations. They started
from the country's largest state, Bihar. Rather than aiming at any
rapid expansion, the initial years were spent in getting an in-depth
understanding of the working of government organisations. The intent
was to be able to offer customized and apt management advice which
was truly beneficial to the clients. The strategy has paid off and
today, LEAD INDIA is going to be widely acknowledged as the pioneer
and the leader in the segment of consulting with the Government
The promoters had realized that with the opening up of the economy
and the information revolution, the people would start demanding
more efficient systems in Government at all levels. This would
create a plethora of opportunities for introducing modern management
techniques in Government systems. They could not have been more
right. The demand for our services is growing by leaps and bounds,
day by day. Their vision continues to inspire us to remain focused
on the Government clients.
In the year 2012, LEAD INDIA was incorporated as a company and
rechristened as LEAD INDIA Foundation. However, for quite a few of
our clients in the Government, we are still empanelled as Lead India
