D Balaji (B.Com, LLB, FCA) is a practising Chartered Accountant with 40 years of experience. He is the founding and senior partner of M/s Balaji Associates, with offices at Hyderabad, Bangalore, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram. The firm has a wide range of clients across private and public sector.

He served as President of The Andhra Pradesh Tax Bar Association. He was co-opted as member of the Regional Advisory Committee for Direct Taxes at Hyderabad.

He specializes in Income Tax Law and Management Consulting. He has vast experience in turnaround strategy and implementation, family business planning and consulting, corporate planning, M&A, and brings a holistic approach to solving business problems. He has appeared before the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction, New Delhi and worked for the revival of multiple companies across industries.

He was instrumental in bringing together various wholesale cloth merchants in Vizianagaram to create the Balaji Wholesale Cloth Market.

He previously served as Treasurer at GEMS Medical College and Hospital at Srikakulam.

He served as President of Rotary Club at Vizianagaram and was instrumental in setting up of a school for the visually impaired which is now flourishing as Netra Vidyalayam of Jeeyar Educational Trust.

He is presently the President of Vasavi Old age home at Vizianagaram which is successfully running in its own building and providing shelter to 40 deserving beneficiaries.

He is presently the President (and founder trustee) of Vizianagaram Rotary Blood Bank Trust which is one of the top blood banks in Vizianagaram.

He is the Founder of SRIKSHETRAM (Center for Applied Bharateeya Philosophy), and temple by name Astalakshmi Sametha Aishwarya Venkateswara Swami Devalayam at Ganganagar, Duppada / Ayyannapeta village near Vizianagaram.

His wife, Durga Uma Devi, is the past District Chairman of Innerwheel District 3020, and is also co-founder of SRIKSHETRAM, and Astalakshmi Sametha Aishwarya Venkateswara Swami Devalayam. She was President of Rotary Club of Vizianagaram for 2022-23.

He is also the Chief Mentor of SRC Trust, and an Advisor to Lead India Foundation.

He has two sons, Ashwin Durga and Samvit Durga.

Ashwin Durga (B.Tech, MBA – IIT Bombay), is a graduate of the prestigious Dhirubhai Ambani International Institute of Communications Technology, Ahmedabad and has done his post-graduation from IIT Bombay in the year 2010. He has worked in senior management positions primarily in the energy sector, as Principal Consultant / Manager at PriceWaterhouse Coopers, Mumbai till 2015, and is presently the Vice President of Investment and Strategy at Enfinity Global, a renewable power company which is the Indian arm of a US based company.

Samvit Durga (B.Com, FCA) is a Chartered Accountant, and partner at Balaji Associates. Samvit has over 14 years of experience in statutory audits, internal audits, taxation, transaction and financial advisory, management advisory, and operations consulting. He is an active angel investor, and director at Actualization Edutech (Metamorphosis), and advises several startups in the finance, legal, operational, and fund-raising domains.
