“The end of education is character.” – Dr. B.R. Ambedkar
As children enter 6th grade (around age 11), their minds awaken to the world around them. They begin to observe, question, imitate, and absorb everything – from movies and media to social behaviors and conversations. This is when their character begins to form.
Sadly, our current education system is narrowly focused on careers, not character. But what is a career without character? As Dr. Kalam said,
“If wealth is lost, nothing is lost; if health is lost, something is lost; but if character is lost, everything is lost.”
At this critical age, youth need exposure not only to academics but also to:
✅ Inspirational leaders and stories
✅ Ancient Indian wisdom and values
✅ Purpose of life and compassion
✅ Religious harmony and social responsibility
✅ Real-world problem-solving mindset
⚡ Swami Vivekananda said:
“Give me a few men and women who are pure and selfless, and I shall shake the world. Give me 100 energetic young men and women, and I shall transform India. It is character, that cleaves through adamantine walls of difficulties.”
He saw character as the ultimate strength to drive transformation and overcome societal challenges.
🕊️ Mahatma Gandhi believed:
“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”
That change begins with building values and integrity at a young age.
🛕 Inspired by these timeless teachings, the Lead India Foundation is spearheading the 2nd National Movement — a mission to build character in Indian youth through the Acharya-Kalam Human Transformation Model.
This is not just a call—it is a responsibility for:
🧑🏫 Successful professionals – to volunteer your time, wisdom, and leadership
🏫 Educational institutions – to partner with Lead India and create a values-based learning ecosystem
💥 Let’s awaken the hidden potential of our young generation. Let’s raise a generation that’s not just job-ready, but nation-ready.
